Butajira
1. The Rediet Hotel
This is a wonderful option for the traveler seeking a clean and comfortable room, wifi (possibly not in every room), and good food. At six stories, the hotel is the tallest building in Butajira, and its beautiful back yard attracts the local bourgeoisie for casual meals and even weddings every weekend. If you want a nice place and don't mind the comparatively outrageous farangi prices, this is the place for you.

2. The Kaf Hotel
The less flashy and more worn of Butajira's two primary hotels, the Kaf Hotel does have pretty landscaping out front which also sees its fair share of local diners and marriages. The inside, however, may be a little less nice. The U.N. and other NGOs working in the local area occasionally choose the Kaf to hold extended meetings. Prices are probably a little more reasonable due to the smaller volume of tourists spending the night here on their way to the Omo Valley.
